Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim: gorgeous plotting & beautiful writing

Hi all!! I’m back. Again. I think I might be back for real too. I’ve managed to jigsaw my schedule into something resembling a workable timetable, and I’ve set aside time for blogging, so hopefully it works out. Anyways, I’m really excited about this book!! I loved Spin the Dawn, and I was so excited (and surprised) to see that I got approved for an arc of Six Crimson Cranes. Fairytale retelling + asian rep + stunning writing from an author I already love? Yes, please.

The Last Shadow Warrior by Sam Subity [blog tour+giveaway]: viking warriors & mood board

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted. Which is unfortunate, because I have a multitude of ideas now that I don’t have time to write. I probably won’t have time to post at all this month, as I’ve been training around 20 hours/week for climbing (and will continue to until the competition mid June). We Hunt the Flame by Hafash Faizal: not a huge fan, but it got good at fifty-ish percent

There’s so much hype surrounding this book so I’m not sure why it took me this long to get around to reading it. And I’ve got to say, I’m still not sure it was worth my time. It was enjoyable, but only towards the second half. Before that I might as well have been falling asleep.

Bookish iPhone Aesthetics: this took so, so long and my essay is worse off for it

HAHA this post has been the works since Apple released the update for widgets and everything. I’m very slow. It took me months to get started, and um, designing the things was very, very time consuming. I made two: one for Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston, and one for These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong.
